- Act II Scene 1
- He is wise, And on my life hath stol'n him home to bed.
- He ran this way and lept this orchard wall. Call, good Mercutio.
- Act II Scene 2
- Neither, fair maid, if either thee dislike.
- My ears have not yet drunk a hundred words of thy toungue's utterings, yet I know the sound. Art thou Romeo and a Montague?
- Act II Scene 3
- O she knew well.Thy love did read by rote, that could not spell. But come yound waverer, come go with me, In one respect I'll thy assistant be: For this alliance may so happy prove To turn your households' rancour to pure love
- Romeo went back into the Capulet's manor to see Juliet again.Benvolio and Mercutio are trying to find Romeo.
- Act II Scene 4
- An old hare hoar, and an old hare hoar, is very good meat in lent; But hare is that hoar, is too much for a score, when it hoars ere it be spent.
- Romeo is speaking with Juliet about their relationship and marriage.(Romeo is willing to give up his name to be with Juliet)Romeo swore his love for Juliet by the moon, she did not want this because the moon is always a different shape.
- Act II Scene 5
- Now, good sweet Nurse-O lord, why looks't thou sad? though news be sad, yet tell them merrily; If thou shamest the music of sweet news by playingit to me with so sour a face.
- I am a-weary, give me leave a while. Fie, how my bones ache! What a jaunce have I!
- Ah, Juliet, if the measure of thy joy be heap'd like mine, and that thy skill be more to blazon it, then sweeten with thy breath this neighbour air, and let rich music's tongue unfold the imagin'd happiness that both recieve in either by this dear encounter
- Romeo goes to Friar Lawrence to ask him about officiating the marriage between him and Juliet, the Friar sees this as a good opportunity to end the feud.
- Act II Scene 6
- These violent delights have violent ends, and in their triumph die like fire and powder, which as they kiss consume.
- Conciet, more rich in matter than in words, brags of his substance, not of ornament; they are but beggars that can count their worth, but my true love is grown to such excess I cannot sum up sum of half my wealth
- The Nurse comes to speak with Romeo but Benvolio and Mercutio start shouting obscenities at the Nurse.Romeo takes the Nurse away from the two so they can speak in peace.
- The Nurse returns to Juliet who has been anxious about getting married to give her the news of the wedding but pretends to be out of breath and jokes with Juliet.
- Friar Lawrence helps Romeo and Juliet get married.
