The Wild Robot - Lauren Hunt

- Roz the robot was on a ship sailing across the sea. When a hurricane came and destroyed the boat. All of the other robots broke all of them except Roz. She went safely on to an island. Once she climbed the island she was not prepared. Soon there was a storm and the robot kept on falling. When soon she was safe again. After that she decided to find shelter. Instead she ended up in a bear cave and the bears attacked her. Luckily they ran away. Soon after that she saw that some animals used camoflauge to survive so she did the same. She started using camoflauge.
- While she was camouflaged she observed the animals. After a bit she didn't just hear chirping. No she heard words. A little bit after that, she was able to communicate. Then another storm happened and she was up in a tree when crash! She fell strait into a goose nest. All of the gooses died all of them except one. Roz decided to take the one egg that was not harmed. Once the egg hatched she asked for help on what to do. After getting the advice she needed she first had to name him. She named him Brightbill. After that she built a house and a garden. Then after that Brightbill. Got swimming lessons and almost got eaten by a fish.
- Brightbill was walking around when a squirrel came up to them. The squirrels name was Chitchat and then him and Brightbill became friends. Later Brightbill learned how to fly! Soon after that Brightbill gets angry and flies to the robot graveyard. Once Roz leaves with Brightbill though, two baby bears attack her. Then one of the bears fell down the cliff but Roz saved her. So the mother bear gives Roz a ride home. Sadly in the fight, Roz lost her foot and so the beaver made a new one. After that Roz and Brightbill wanted to know what would happen when you press the button on her back so they did. She shut off for a few minutes then turned back on.
- Brightbill had to migrate for the winter so soon he had to leave the nest and go out for 4-5 months. After that Roz was hibranating in the nest when the roof caved in. She fixed it but asked animals to stay in the nest with her. Soon after that there were tons of lodges everywhere and one rule no violence in the lodges. Although they kept there word soon there was violence but it wasn't from the animals, no it was from the fire.
- The second lodge had been set on fire. Roz heard that a baby rabbit was inside and she saved the rabbit. Then put out the fire. After that everyone was a lot more careful. Then the spring flowers started to bloom and Brightbill came home. Once Brightbill was home he told Roz all about his journey.
- After that Roz asked for there to be an evening truce. She was throwing a party! She had made a stack of wood and lit it on fire. The party was great until the Reco's came. They tried to hunt down Roz. They all died but in the fight Roz lost all of her limbs so she had to go back to the factory. She said her good bye then left. When she was leaving though, she knew she would come back.
