- Have u ever wondered how the tea we grow is processed?
- Ive never really payed attention to it but it seems like a topic i should give thought to.
- If u want i can share my knowledge about it with you as i just found out and am eager to share.
- YEA SURE i would love to learn about it further.
- The first step is what we perform which is plucking cleaning and sorting .
- I never really understood what it meant till now and seems like us labourer's play an important part in tea processing.
- The second step is withering the tea leaves which means drying the leaves in scorching heat.
- What it the purpose though, why waste time and resources when we can just directly just brew the tea?
- The purpose of withering is that it helps remove the moisture which results in efficient fermentation which is our next step
- But isn't fermentation optional?
- No it isnt optional but rather depends on the type of tea you are aimimg to make for example to make black tea it is essential but for white tea drying is needed
- I'm very thankful for everything i've learnt today but I think now we should get back to work or else our wages will be cut from and its also started raining.
