- Achilles and Agamenon arguing
- Achilles refuses to return to the battlefield due to Agamemnon taking away his prize.
- Patroclus dies to Hector
- Agamemnon was rewarded a priest of Apollo's daughter, after the priest arrived with a ransom, Agamemnon insulted him and Apollo got angry and punished the Greeks. Achilles called Agamemnon greedy and they argue. "Let the two of you be my witnesses before...need me to save them from destruction".
- Achilles finds out about Patroclus's death
- Agamemnon says that if Achilles returns to fight with the Greeks he will gift him lots of things. He sends Phoenix, Ajax, and Odysseus to convince Achilles to return back but he refuses. "Until then, the bronze-coated Greeks would have to rely upon their own courage and strength".
- Achilles kills Hector
- Patroclus convinces Achilles so that he could lead the Myrmidons into battle. Patroclus goes into battle with his armor and is killed by Hector due to the gods handicapping him. "Put my shining armor upon your shoulders".
- Priam mourns his son Hector's death
- When Achilles finds out about Patroclus's death, he mourns for a while and then decides to return to battle and kill Hector himself. "Hector has killed Patroclus and has taken his armor".
- After Achilles enters the battlefield, he shows no mercy. Finally, (with the help of Athena) Hector stops running from him and decides to fight. Achilles kills Hector. "My death now awaits me".
- After days of seeing Achilles drag Hector's body around with a chariot, Apollo tells Zeus that he shouldn't be doing that. Finally, Achilles was convinced and he accepted Hector's father's ransom and Hector was buried. "The funeral of godlike Hector of the shining helm".
