- Proclamation Line, 1763After colonists fought for the land west of the Appalachian Mountains, the British told the they could not move past them in order to prevent Native attacks. Colonists were mad, because to them, it was like they fought for nothing!
- Boston Massacre, 1770The English tried to enforce tax laws, and a colonist got violent and attacked the British soldier. Eventually, things got out of hand, and the British ended up shooting 5 colonists
- Boston Tea Party, 1773Colonists were protesting the tea act. They made the phrase no taxation without representation! To protest the tax of tea, they threw the British's tea off a ship
- Intolerable Acts 1774This was a document consisting of 4 acts that colonists believed were an attack on their rights. One of these acts took away the Boston Dock.
- Battle of Saratoga, 1777This battle was a major turn in the revolutionary war. The french saw how powerful the colonists were, so they joined the Colonists' side.
- Battle of Yorktown, 1981The Americans defeated Britain and earned their freedom, using a tactic called gruella warfare.
