This was the time in his early years of life when he was hit by a cannon ball in the leg fracturing and shattering all the bones inside it also damaged the left leg and the opposing teams leader saw that they had giving up and so the leader took saint Ignatius to his own home for surgery here he was in Pamplona may 20th 1521 and this event was named being hit in the leg by a cannon ball .

This was the time when he was in the opposing teams leaders home spending 1 year + in recovery after having to break his leg again to put the leg in place.In this time period he read a lot about the bible and Jesus and god and chose to believe in them and he got lots of hope and started to pray every night hoping his leg would get better and it did.This was in his middle years in June 1525 in loyola and this was his Spiritual awakening .

These were the late years of saint Ignatius life where he would teach people and teenagers and kids about god and Jesus and his life story from being a knight to become a beggar after giving his clothes to a homeless man and becoming a pilgrim and a student to learn latin, Now teaching people about the afterlife, God and Jesus here he was in Rome/Paris at 1534 This was his period of study/teaching.
