- When Zach was feeling better he was able to join some of his classmates online for learning. Some of the students would ask the teacher what is a pandemic?
- It took me 2 weeks to feel better and to be able to leave my room.
- A pandemic is a mass outbreak of disease. Some examples are the Swine and Spanish Flu, Ebola, and AIDS. The World Health Organization is the group that declares a disease a pandemic.

- I heard my mom say something about getting a vaccine...
- Hey dude! I'm so bored my mom still won't let me out of the house!!!

- Vaccines take weakened or inactive parts of virus or organisms that will trigger a small immune response in the body that will create antibodies. these antibodies fight off the disease!
- So when can we get this shot?
- Well son, it is not available yet so you still need to take many precautions from getting exposed to COVID-19
