- In the dogs first life as Toby he lived in the wild and then taken to a shelter with his family where he learns to live in a pack. Toby gets in a fight with Spike His brother his leg snaps and dies.

Ethan finds out and insults Todd the one who tried to break the couple up. Todd burns Ethan's house down for revenge. Ethan jumps out of the window and hurts his leg and losses his football scholarship
