He feels responsible for Abigails view on the world as she got it from him. He feels responsible fro taking care of his wife and children.
He expects no one to believe him and he expected that no one would believe that there was witchcraft in Salem.
He acts like he does not love his wife when he does and he acts out against other people.
He wants his wife to trust him and for Abigail to leave him and his wife alone.
No one likes him and people in the village are judgemental of him. His wife does not trust him because of his infidelaty.
She feels responsible for her husbands aditude
She expects her husband to cheat but aslo expects thathe is all done with that and loves her.

Acts cold, but king to her husband, has deep distraust after her husband cheated, acts braver than she felt when arrested.
She wants the madness of the witch hunt over, she wants her husband to be more compasionate, and she wants Abigail to leave her alone.
Her being cold to abigail ends up with her being arrested, and she has a rocky relatioship with her husband.
She feels as though she is responsible for getting rid of the devil in salem.
She expects that no one would doubt her word, much less vioce those doubts and that after murdering his wife, John Procter will love her back..

Everyone looks toward her like she has been blessed, people who are innocent either die or confess so that they may live.
She wants to kill Goody Proctor so she may have John Procter for herself
