- This scene depicts Lenny running away after breaking Curley's Wife's neck. Lenny was trying to feel Curley's Wife's hair but got to handsy with her. She wanted him to stop but he became very angry and out of rage snapped her neck with his bare hands. He then ran away in fear because he didn't want George to be angry at him.
- This next scene shows Curley finding his wife dead in the barn and wanting to kill Lenny out of rage. He rally ups some men on horseback to go out looking for Lenny. George tries to rationalize with him, but Curley didn't want to hear it. George decided to leave the barn and go to the bunkhouse.
- When George arrived at the bunkhouse he went through Carlsons' things to find his gun. When he found it he contemplated whether he should go through with his plan. His plan was to kill Lenny before he could run away.He decided he would and ran out with the stolen gun and find Lenny.
- This panel shows Lenny imagining a gargantuan rabbit who starts talking down to him. The rabbit tells Lenny that George doesn't want anything to do with him. Lenny begins to yell at the rabbit saying that, "George wouldn't do that". Telling the rabbit off until it eventually disappears and George appears from the woods to talk with Lenny with a disappointing look on his face.
- In this image George and Lenny reunite after Lenny killed Curley's Wife. Lenny is happy beyond belief but George remains stoic. Lenny begins asking George to tell him about the house they are going to buy and how he's going to tend to the rabbits. George tells Lenny the story one more time...
- George ends up telling Lenny the story and right after he finishes the story he kills Lenny with Carlson's luger. Lenny layed their still on the ground. Slim came running to the sound of the gunshot seeing Lenny on the ground. George lies and said that Lenny took Carlson's gun and that he did what he had to do. Slim understood and reassures George that, "You did what you hadda do."
