- Sarah, why is this river so many different colors?
- I think the river is too acidic. That means it has a pH level of below 7.
- How did it get this way?
- Part of it was probably acidic rain. that is rain that was exposed to chemicals before it fell.
- Wow, I did not know it could do that.
- An acidic river can harm fish, too. It really is a big deal.
