- Mark 4:1-9; 13-20 The Sower
- This parable is about the word of god and how it can be taken away from some people so easily. Some people keep the word and produce great thing from it. Jesus told this parable to a group of people some rich and some poor and the rich ones were being snobs and saying the poor ones should not be their and jesus was saying that anyone can be a follower but they need determination. The sower is jesus and biblical teacher and the seed is us and the people. By Teddy Morton
- A sower went around spreading seeds hopeful they grow. Some seeds fell on a path, some fell on rock, some fell on weeds and some fell on nice soil.
- Some seeds fell on the path and the birds ate them up. Jesus explained that the seeds on the path are people who hear the Word of God but them immediately lose it.
- Anyone can be a follower all you need is determination To God.
- some fell on rocks and started growing but got scorched by the sun and some fell on weeds and got strangled and died. jesus also said the seeds on the rocks are people who take in the word but do not commit to it fully, the seeds on the weeds are the people who hear the word but let it get choked out of them from greed, anger and selfish desires
- But some of the seeds feel on good soil and produce many folds of crop. jesus said but the seeds on the good soil represent the people who take in and commit to the word of god and produce great things from it.
- After the story Jesus explained that no matter who you are you can be the seed in good soil if you devout yourself to christ. and don't let the word be taken away by greed.
