  • Exposition
  • ‘Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun .The frumious Bandersnatch!’
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • The main character's father gives him a warning before the main character leaves. You get introduced to the main character. You also learn that the Jabberwocky has sharp claws and teeth.Figurative Language: The boy was as brave as a warrior.
  • Climax
  • A boy sets out to defeat a foe that he tried to find before. The foe is the Jabberwocky and I think the boy wants to kill/defeat him. This is the beginning of his journey.Figurative Language: The boy was as ambitious as a genius scientist.
  • Falling Action
  • During this part of the plot the main character/boy rests by a tree and thinks for a while. Surprisingly he then gets his first look at the "foe" he was setting out to defeat. Figurative Language: The Jabberwocky had eyes like fire.
  • Resolution.
  • ‘And hast thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!’
  • The main character slays the Jabberwocky with his vorpal blade . It took him a few swings but in the end his blade sliced through. The boy took the head of the Jabberwocky as a show of victory and accomplishment. Figurative Language: The blade sliced through like a lightsaber.
  • The main character walks back to his home with the head of the Jabberwocky to show his father that he defeated the Jabberwocky. 
  • The main character comes home after killing the Jabberwocky and receives high praise for his feats. He is welcomed by his father like a hero.Figurative Language: They boy was proud like a hero.
