- Kayla was a happy child. She was good at school and very social.....
- Until she saw her father beat her mother...and soon her
- Once the abuse started, she was never the same. She wasn't social and her grades started dropping...until she started TF-CBT
- What's wrong with Kayla?
- When Kayla and her mother were finally able to leave her Dad, Kayla went to her first TF-CBT therapy session. The first few sessions were by herself.......
- Then she attended sessions with her mother. This helped Kayla express her feelings to her mom, and it helped her mother understand how she has been affected.
- It hurt me seeing you like that., and when it happened to me, I shut down. I'm sorry
- It's not your fault.
- Throughout her twelve sessions, Kayla got better. Her grades went up and she started becoming social with her friends again.
