  • Wow, who are you and what did you do with my daughter? Haha. But to answer your question, of course. Let's change the world.
  • Hello, dear. You're finally awake. You looked you were in an interesting dream. Care to share over breakfast?
  • Oh, we have so much to talk about, Dad! I want to change the world, would you do it with me?
  • Michael, a zoologist, brought his kid with him on a field research in Sumatra, Indonesia. His study involves the critically endangered species - Sumatran elephant (Elephas maximus sumatranus). Michael gave Josie a little background of what the Sumatran elephant was.
  • Don't cry, it'll be over soon. Walk with me for now until we find your father.
  • Daddy! *CRIES*
  • With the help of the local guides, they were able to spot one within hours. Despite the tiredness, the kid was amazed and excited to see the Sumatran Elephant. His daughter, Josie, was so overjoyed that she run towards it. Good thing her father was there to prevent it. Michael explained that sudden actions might scare the Sumatran Elephants and that would be dangerous for them and the elephant. Josie nodded.
  • I'm afraid that might not happen today. Let me tell you a little something about our kind.
  • So your name is Mitra? That's so beautiful! Are there more of you? Do you have friends? Let's meet them, Mitra! I want to be friends with them too!
  • To name a few, your kind are the main culprit for our declining population, Josie.
  • As nightfall came, they decided to sleep in a small and reserved wooden house near the site where the elephant was last seen. Josie was too curious that she couldn't fall asleep. She tries her best and closed her eyes until darkness was the only thing she could see.
  • In the world, we are estimated to be 2,800 less. That's really low for our population. This is why your father went here, to study our environment and behavior so he could come up with a solution to how he can save and protect our kind.
  • Why is it so low, Mitra? Why are you not protected? Are you in danger? Why and who are harming your kind?
  • Josie wakes up near a river. She cries, scared and terrified to be alone in an unknown location where her father was not around. She continued to cry until it rained, a massive figure was covering her dry - it was the Sumatran elephant!
  • Okay.
  • As they walked around, the rain stopped and Josie converse with the elephant. Eager and curious to know all about it. They introduced themselves and started talking about the little things. Josie learned why his father wanted to study and save their kind.
  • Baffled by Mitra's answer, Josie is speechless. Mitra continues to explain why their population has consistently declined and who and what are the culprits behind it.
  • W-what?! *Shocked*
