- Squeaky tells us about how she has to take care and look out for Raymond even though he is her bigger brother and also talks about her achievements as a runner

- Squeaky meets Gretchen, Mary and Rosie and they have a not so friendly talk about the upcoming race but Squeaky does try to end it and be on her way as fast as possible

- Squeaky and Raymond take their time getting to the Track Meet while Squeaky tells us about why she doesn't like the main event, May Pole dancing.
- Page 6
- Mr. Pearson walks over to Squeaky and taunts her a bit asking if she'll give someone else a chance to win this year, particularly Gretchen while Raymond is over by the swings cheering her on.
- Squeaky tells us about how dreamy she feels before every race, how much she needs to win. The race starts and the only one keeping up with her is Gretchen and Raymond who's on the other side of the fence running with his unusual style.It then dawns on Squeaky that Raymond knows pretty much everything she does and can be an even better runner than her.
- The race ends with seemingly with a tie but after a few seconds of review it was decided that the winner was indeed Squeaky, but even though Gretchen is upset they smile at each other with respect and Squeaky thinks about asking Gretchen to help coach Raymond for future races.
