- The bill is brought to a committee in the House of Representatives or Senate where the bill is debated and amended
- Bill is sent to president
- If the committee accepts the bill, it will be sent to the House of Representatives or the Senate

- If the bill is passed, it will be sent to the opposite house and voted on there
- Senate
- If the bill passes the Senate and House, it is sent to the President
