- When Claudius was finally left alone, he prayed and asked for forgiveness for what he had done to his own brother. Hamlet overheard this and planned to kill him but later became undecided. He attempted to kill him but found out he accidentally killed Polonius, the father of his girlfriend Ophelia. Upon knowledge, she committed suicide leaving her brother, Laertes.
- CLIMAX
- Laertes, brother of Ophelia, planned on taking revenge for the mess Hamlet had caused his family. He invites him over to a fencing match, and Laertes poisons the tip of the sword beforehand. While, Claudius poisons a cup of wine. Both, attempting to kill Hamlet.
- FALLING ACTION
- Hamlet refused to drink from the cup and so the Queen picked it up instead, being unaware of poison. Laertes then finally hit Hamlet with his sword, and so did Hamlet but little did they know, the swords got switched. They all then got poisoned and Hamlet blamed Claudius for all of the scheme and even made him drink the poison. The truth got revealed. Claudius died and Laertes asked for forgiveness and then Hamlet eventually died as well.
