- What is this?! Why is it so hard?!
- Its a caste for your broken arm made out of Plaster of Paris.
- It is essentially Gypsum but with 3/4th its water of crystallization per formula unit
- Water of what?
- Let me explain
- A fixed number of water molecules present in one formula unit of a salt is called the water of crystallization of that salt.
- Example

- POP
- These water molecules are bound by weak electro static forces and change some properties of the salts
