  • Although it has not been completely clear where the Aztecs originated from, many believe that they originated as a nomadic tribe in Mexico. With this, the Aztecs continued to spread throughout the Americas. With this, it means that they continued to develop, and had social, political, religious, and managed to bring city-states under control.

During this time, thousands of people visited Tenochtitlan to shop and their markets, boosting the economy greatly. With the well structured society, Aztecs thrived.#160;

  • It wasn't a long time before the Spanish arrived, and the first to step foot onto Mexican territory was Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba.#160; After his expedition, the reports prompted for another expedition. The second man, Cortes, lead to form Veracruz, where he trained a strong army force, which eventually went to war with the Aztecs.

  • Many spanish eventually arrived at Tenochtitlan. However, due to the culture of Aztecs, they ended up greeting them as guest due to custom.
