- A man and woman are killing crabs in their backyard so that their sick child will be well again. Suddenly, someone falls out from the sky to their backyard.
- It's an old man with wings, and he looks very tired and worn out. The couple call their neighbor thinking he is a lost sailor but she informs them that he's an angel.
- Elisenda the wife, now can't get rid of the angel and the townspeople hear of him. They all come rushing everyday to see this angel.

- Many weeks pass and Elisenda and Pelayo earn a lot of money from keeping the angel as an entertainment show. But soon a woman who turned into spider is the spotlight and everyone forgets about the angel.
- The family now despises the angel and lets him live in the chicken coop. Many months pass and the little boy has grown up and gone to school as well, since the family can afford that.
- One cold winter day, while Elisenda is in her kitchen she sees the old dying man get up and slowly start to move his feathers. He finally takes flight and leaves his prison. Elisenda sighs in relief, now all the annoyance is gone from her llife.
