- George Orwell's 1984 takes place in Britian, (more specifically london) in the year, 1984, one night at home, he has visions of his mother and sister sinking, he then ponders if life was always like this, and with the poems of the old pawn shopkeeper, and Julia's black market buying, he gets a taste of his young days, before ingsoc, however, the thought police eventually catch him and Julia red handed, and they are both brutally tortured.
- Next, we have Man Vs Himself, where at the start, he could not decide if he hated big brother or not.
- Finally, another Man V Society, on hate week, people hate on the opposition, in the book, it is Goldstien, he is presented on a screen, and people go into fits of rage
