- Panda's have many structural adaptations. One being it's thick, wooly coat that keeps it warm in the cool forests. Panda's also have strong jaw muscles, and large molar teeth for crushing bamboo. A panda also has strong muscular legs to help it outrun predators. The panda also have "six toes" that helps it pull and shoots the leaves of the bamboo. One last structural adaptation a panda has is it walks at a slow pace, to conserve energy incase it has to outrun a predator.
- I have many physical adaptations since living in dessert heat. One is I sweat while moving and pant when exercise stops. In addition I also have a dense network of blood vessels near the surface of the skin on my forearms. I also lick my forearms which allows the wind to blow heat away from the warm blood. I also have a tendon in the leg which acts as a rubber band, which conserves energy as I move. One last physical adaptation I have is since I live in a environment where water is scare I produce very concentrated urine and enables me to tolerate drinking salty water.
- Penguins have many behavioral adaptations since living in a cold climate. One is penguins huddle in large groups, particularly during storms, so they can shiver to generate body heat. Another behavioral adaptation that they have is males carry their penguin eggs under their feet and over them with their brood pouch to keep the egg warm and off the snow-covered grounds. Also, emperor penguins have a loud call that helps the mother find her baby in the cold weather. Emperor penguins will also sleep standing up with their families under big glaciers for protection. One last behavioral adaptation they have is emperor penguins will dive in one at a time, so if the penguin comes up, it indicates there are no predators in the water.
