Jupiter
- Commonly known as the Jovian ring system- Composed of 90% hydrogen and 10% helium- Emits powerful radiation into space- Contains Great Red Spot, largest hurricane in space
- Named after the Roman God of agriculture- Rings are made of ice particles, dust, debris, and other celestial material.- Only planet less dense than water.- Called the ‘Jewel of the Solar System’
Saturn
Uranus
- Revolves around the Sun in a clockwise direction- Has 13 vertical rings- Composed of hydrogen-helium and methane- Called an ice giant like Neptune
- Striking blue color due to presence of gases like Methane that absorb the red light and give out blue light.- Composed of hydrogen, helium, and methane- 13 moons, largest called Triton
