- In this book, two siblings are chased by the nazis during the nazi invasion and are chased into the forest next to the town they were forcefully made to live in. During the story the main characters meet up with new and old friends that made the story twist and turn.

- The main characters are called Max and Zena.Most of the setting plays in the forest and town.
- Story part 3 5 weeks later
- Make sure you don't stress yourself.
- When Max and Zena were walking through town around the barbed wire fence, Max spotted some berries and went under the fence to get some. Then he was caught by a nazi soldier and was heading to the police station. Max saw his sister behind him and jerked back tackled the soldier, and the soldier shot himself, after they ran into a barn with a man in it. He was nice and let them in for protection.

- After an hour the farmer led them to a secret room and when he opened the door 3 people came out one of them was their aunt Hannah. The other two were called Lev and Martin. They went inside the house and ate, after they went over the plan. It was to go into the forest because they have a camp hidden from the skies. As they went there was whiring sounds in the sky. A tree creaked and fell on top of Max but the ditch he was in was deep enough to protect him. He found a rock and dug himself out , then saw two soldiers heading for a log martin and Zena was next to. Max yelled and Martin stood up and shot them, but the falling gun shot Max in the side.Then Martin carried him to the camp.
- 5 weeks laterThe camp Doctor healed Max's gun shot wound and is starting to feel better. Zena was next to him the entire time. 2 weeks earlier Hannah Lev and Martin went looking for their father, and on that day they saw their father. After that their dad explained what happened to him.2 years later Hannah and Lev got married and Martin went with them to build a new Jewish state, IsraelThey also went to America and saw the Statue of Liberty.
- Zena and Max never thought that they would be with their Dad again and never thought they would be able to go to America
