- The Sun had just fallen and the moon has rised. I was just informed on the arrival of people. To say I was overwhelmed was an understatement. I had just arrived to Milan from the island 2 days ago. As soon as we stepped of the ship Alonzo and Father started planning Ferdinand and I's wedding. My past 2 days have been filled with adventure and new things. New people, new food, new clothes, new words, new everything. This all has had me overwhelmed, leading me to this moment...
- The Last 2 Days
- There I sat, on the floor, crying with 20 min till I have to walk down the aisle. Don't get me wrong I love Ferdinand, he's my one true love but it's all too sudden. I just discovered the new wonders of the world. As I sat on the floor Ferdinands sister comforted me while I cried. She told me even if I marry Ferdinand I will be able to be free still. I could only hope she was telling me the truth. My father has told me that people in Milan are very different from the island and that women submit to men. I don't want to be one of those women.
- Wedding Respection
- As I looked Ferdinand into the eyes everything seemed to be clear. He is the love of my life and nothing will get in the way of our happiness. I won't let the stereotype of a wife ruin my own happiness as well. Ferdinand and I will be independent and focus on ourselves as well as love each other.
- Prospero's Speech
- The last 2 days in Milian have been magical with Ferdinand. We've explored Milian together and he has even shown me new things that I've never seen before. We've talked about our future and figured things out. While Ferdinand's father stays king Naples, we will stay in Milian. When Ferdinands time to become king comes we will move to Naples. No matter the challenges Ferdinand and I will face our love is strong and will not be broken.
- This wedding has been amazing so far. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. Most of the people here I don't know, there's my dad's friends, Alonsos friends, Ferdinand's family, and friends and people of high status in Milian and Naples. I can't wait to meet new people and have friends to go on adventures with. As Ferdinand and I dance I look around to see my father getting ready for his speech.
- Prospero: We come here today to honor and celebrate our dear Ferdinand and my daughter Miranda. I was there when the 2 met and fell in love. This young love was a blessing and was meant to be. I surely had some part in creating this love but that's a story for another day. I am honored to call myself Miranda's father and I know Ferdinand will do a great job of taking care of her. I have talked it over with the husband and bride and here is the perfect place for my announcement. Say hello to your returning new Duke of Milian.
