- I remember just last week I was sitting in this classroom with a room full of students making Valentines Day cards. Now look.
- How could I allow for such a thing to happen?
- No one could have seen the tragedy that happened at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School coming.
- None of this was in your control. You followed protocol and did all you could to keep your classroom safe.
- I failed my only duty to keep the children of this classroom safe. I have failed the parents of these adolescents who now grieve the loss of a child.
- I want no more than to be isolated from this community and the members of this school.
- You cannot expect to recover from this nightmare alone. You need to accept the help of those around you even though it may be difficult.
- This is a time for all of us to grieve and remember the pure souls lost.
- How do I recover? I have completely and utterly lost myself. I now have to live with the surviving guilt from the death of these students.
- You have fallen into your false self. You are too focused on yourself and pretending that you're fine but in reality that you are losing sight of who you really are and what you truly feel. You need to seek good in others and allow yourself to openly receive help.
- Look at this classroom displayed in front of you. Try to remember not the last time you saw these students, but all the good times before that. Remember what they were once known for and not just how they will be remembered, but how they will remember you.
- I do remember, but it’s hard to see the good in what I did. This tragedy was a huge downfall for myself and I feel responsible.
- With time and holding on to your faith, you will soon recover your true self. You will accept yourself as who you truly are and allow your person to go through genuine transformation. Set ends for yourself and discover your means and you will reach the true self with time.
