- Marigolds written by Eugenia CollierThe character s:Lizabeth,Lizabeths dad and mother, Joey and his friends And ms lottieSetting:The story takes place in a sad old dusty town where all you could see was dirt and darkness.

- Lizabeth and her friends went over to ms lotties house because they were bored and wanted to go after the flowers they all hated thoses bright yellow marigolds that took the towns ugliness away and lizabeth hated that very much.Her and her friends joey and his friends went over and collected pebbles and threw pebbles at ms lotties flowers while her son sat there and rocked in his chair.
- Falling action:
- *Speechless*
- Ms lottie had caught them throwing pebbles and deheading off her lovely flowers the ones she so much very cared about.Ms lottie swung her stick almost hitting lizabeth in the face.They all ducked down and hid in the bushes as ms lottie screamed and called for her son john burk who didnt want to be drawn out outta his thoughts.

- When lizabeth returns home that night she hears her father sobbing at home while her mother was at work during that time her father had lost his job,During that time if a man didnt have a job they would be considered a failure in life.Lizabeth never seen a man cried and when she did all her emotions came out and she went after ms lotties flowers joey following closely behind.Lizabeth ripped and tugged thoses flowers out and rippped all of them out ms lotties yellow marigolds now gone.
- Ms lotties now once happy face now frowning everything she worked so hard for now gone. Thoses marigolds were her everything and as so lizabeth that would forever be her last act of childhood.Ms lottie didnt say nothing she just sat there and had a blank face.Lizabeth felt bad so very bad and realized everything she had down was wrong.Calling her a witch ruining her flowers.
- Lizabeth had her last act of childhood now growing up and looking back on everything she done back then.Ms lottie has sadly been gone for a while now and will forever be remembered.As for lizabeth shes grown up and realized how she treated people was wrong she had to make a inner change for herself.Lizabeth planted out her own marigolds
