- My name is Ian and I am an igneous rock. I once was untouchable because of how hot I was. I was lava/magma a very hot substance that can come from a volcano or very deep beneath earth's surface.
- I then cooled down a few hundred degrees and the igneous rock has its rock formation.
- Wind kept blowing me and blowing until I fell in the woods where I went through the processes of a sedimentary rock. Before, I was the main factor of a sedimentary rock I went through the process of weathering. Were rain and other elements push and wetin and crumble me into sediment.
- After that long process of weathering I had another process. The last process is compaction, compaction is while the rock is underground there is many layers of dirt on top of it. Those layers of dirt are very heavy they crush me into a ovil which I am known as a sedimentary rock.
- Lastly I was once a igneous and once a sedimentary but now I am on my last part of my life journey being a metamorphic rock. I was a sedimentary rock but, I was so far underground that there are seven tectonic plates and I happen to be right in between two of those tectonic plates.
- When those two tectonic plates slide against each other they produce lots of friction which makes heat. But, you also need pressure to form a metamorphic rock so all the pressure from those two massive tectonic plates form a metamorphic rock . Than, erosion, rain, and uplift bring those rocks all the way up to Earth's surface.
