- I have made a set of rules that will declare my power and control over the rulers of the nonreligous and Church because I want too and I like making the emperor mad :)

- In 1073, Hildebrand was an Italian monk and he became Pope Gregory VII. He decided that the emperor should not have control and power over the Church and it led to conflict between Pope Gregory and Henry IV who was the Holy Roman king.
- I heard that you appointed a bishop for the city of Milan after I made the rules. Not the right decision.

- Pope Gregory wanted that only the Roman pope had the right to appoint bishops and this became an issue because both king and pope wanted to choose their bishops who would support them. Bishops had much power over lots of land and wealth.

- They reached an agreement called the Concordat of Worms. This gave the Church the authority to appoint bishops and allowed emperors to hand out fiefs to bishops. Although this agreement was a better way to settle arguments, conflict still continued.
