- Worried about the future, Macbeth goes and seeks out the witches, who were cooking something in a cauldron. They have him drink stuff and three spirits tell him another prophecy. One to beware Macduff. Two that no man born from a woman can harm Macbeth. Lastly that a forest will move against him. Also that Banquo's sons will still be king.
- Because of the prophecy, he tries to kill Macduff, but he learns that Macduff went to England. So instead of killing Macduff, he decides to murder Macduff's wife and sons and to destroy his castle. The family gets a warning but they were not able to leave in time and because of this they were all killed by one of Macbeth hitchmen.
- Macduff finds one of King Duncan's sons, Malcolm, and asks him to help him overthrow Macbeth and so he can become king. Malcolm says it is not a good idea and that he would be worse than Macbeth because of his lust and greed. Macduff tries to convince him but it does not work until he yells at him, then where Malcolm says he was kidding and that he will help. Someone walks in and tells Macduff what happened to his family, and Macduff pledged to kill Macbeth.
