  • Macbeth uses imagery to show Lady Macbeth how he has killed King Duncan. This represent power because he has just killed the king so then he can take over the throne.
  • Act IIII, Scene II
  • The Queen, my lord, is dead.
  • Macbeth is using metaphor because he is saying he killed the servants because he was so shocked that the king was dead, but he really killed them to hide that he killed the king. This shows power because Macbeth is has killed multiple people to get the throne.

  • She should have died hereafter. There would have been a time for such a word.
  • Banquio uses repetition to tell his son to run away so he doesn't get killed. This shows power because Macbeth had hired those men to kill he's friend and hes friends son so he could remain king.

  • Thou liest, abhorrèd tyrant. With my sword I’ll prove the lie thou speak’st.
  • Lady Macduff's child uses soliloquy because he is saying his thoughts out loud by saying that his mother needs to run for her life. This shows power because Macbeth had hired those hitmen to kill Macduff's whole family with a pregnant wife and two children, he would do anything to be king.
  • Macbeth is using a smile because he is saying Lady Macbeth should have died at a different time because now he cannot focus on her death. This represents power because macbeth is so caught up fighting he is not focusing on his wife hat had just killed herself.
  • Young Siward uses personification to bring his sword to life to kill Macbeth but he would be the one killing him, not the sword. This represents power because Young Siward is barley a man but Macbeth is still going to fight and kill him to remain at the top.
