- Canaan is also known as the promised land.
- I am the new Pharaoh of Egypt and I do not like the Israelites.

- In the year 1700 BCE a man named Abraham lived in Ur Mesopotamia. At some point, according to the Torah, the Hebrew bible , Abraham made a covenant with God. In this agreement, Canaan would belong to Abraham's descendants.

- Jacob and his family moved to Egypt because they heard that there was great supplies of grain, and Canaan did not have good supplies of grain. Also when they got there the were treated horribly because there was a new pharaoh that was king of Egypt and didn't trust the Israelite when their population started to in crease

- Moses was a Israelite baby who was adopted by the pharaohs family. God told Moses to rescue his people. So Moses went and asked the pharaoh to let him free the Israelite's from Egypt. Also after he asked the Pharaoh he said no and then he asked again and said no, but god told Moses that I will put curses on Egypt that will make him let the people leave and so he did he put about ten horrible curses the most notable one was the death of the first born son and that the curses the let the Israelite's be free.

- God put terrible hardships on Egypt because the pharaoh refused to let the Israelite's go. Also because the Pharaoh did not let the Israelite's go God put terrible hardships on Egypt and the most notable one was the death of the first born son. Moses told the Israelite's that God would let there sons live if they marked their doorways with the blood of a lamb. Also Passover is a day once every year where Jews celebrate the journey from slavery in Egypt to freedom. Also Jews believe in only one God which is called Monotheism.
- During the Israelite's journey they stopped at mount Sinai. Then Moses went up the mountain to meet with god. Then god gave Moses the Torah, and the Torah includes laws among those laws were the ten commandments.
- According to the Torah, the Israelite's continued to the promised land. Moses saw Canaan from a mountain but died without entering the promised land. After Moses died they needed a new leader so Joshua took his place, according to the book of Joshua in the bible they entered Canaan form the east under Joshua's leadership and commandment. One of the first cities they conquered was Jericho.
