Things you can create:
Teachers may wish for students to collaborate on their posters which is possible with Storyboard That's Real Time Collaboration feature! This can help cut down on the time it takes to complete the poster while also helping students to develop communication, self-management, and leadership skills. Teachers can enable collaboration for the assignment and students can either choose their partner(s) or have one chosen for them.

Tips:
Outside of our plethora of poster templates, here's some fun things to do with your class.
At the beginning of the year, have your class make its own class portrait! The finished project can be printed out on oversized paper and hung on the wall or on the door. You can either choose the characters for each student or let them take turns at the computer to choose their own character over the course of a day or a week.
For a fun spin on the project, each student could pick from any of the characters available (including monsters, animals, myths, etc.) and the whole class can guess which character each student picked (just make sure to keep track while they're choosing!). Another idea would be to have kids choose a future profession and show themselves with adult characters and items pertaining to that profession.
Instead of a class portrait, the class could make a collage of items, characters, and scenes. The poster will showcase what each student loves or finds important. Again, you can have the rest of the class try to guess which student picked which item for a fun class activity!

Custom posters can be used in a variety of ways in the classroom. They can be used to promote class projects, events, or initiatives. They can also be used to display student work or to visually reinforce key concepts and ideas. Worksheets can be created to help students brainstorm ideas for how custom posters can be used in the classroom, as well as how to effectively communicate information through posters.
When creating a custom poster, it's important to keep the intended audience and purpose in mind. The poster should be visually appealing, easy to read, and convey a clear message. Students should also pay attention to the layout, color scheme, and font choice. Worksheets can be created to help students plan out these elements before starting their poster.
The content of a custom poster will depend on the purpose and audience. For example, a poster about a historical event may include important dates, names of people involved, and relevant images or symbols. On the other hand, a poster promoting a school event may include information such as the date, time, location, and a catchy slogan. Worksheets can be created to help students identify the key components of their poster, as well as brainstorm ideas for how to effectively communicate their message.
Choosing a design for a custom poster can be a fun and creative process. Students can start by brainstorming ideas and sketching out different layouts and color schemes. They can also look at other posters for inspiration, such as those found online, in stores, or in the classroom. Worksheets can be created to help students gather ideas and create a plan for their poster design.
