- He told me to go in front of the class and take my phone with me
- Mia here is going to show us an example of Apps knowing about what we search up
- I wasn't really paying attention and was on my phone
- He told me to go to Siri and ask three things about the same topic
- When i noticed him, he looked mad, I quickly turned off my phone and looked down at my desk
- When I had asked all three questions, he told me to go onto instagram
- Everyone was silent when I walked up, nobody wanted to get in trouble like I did
- He told me I could go back to my desk
- And that is a perfect example on apps always listening and watching you when your online
- I chose to ask Siri questions about the ocean, since I already knew the answer to them.
- Hey siri, what is the deepest part of the ocean?
- I went onto Instagram, went to the explore page and sure enough, the first few things on my feed were about the ocean, the app had noticed that I was Interested in the topic and put it in there so I would be interested.
- OCEANLOVERS- New studies show that ocean animals are more intelligant than we though
- I didn't fully understand how it works, but I then understood that apps collect data for us constantly and that that's how "explore pages" work
