The rest of the school year was pretty useless for Scout, but on the last day of school she finds something sticking out of the knot hole in the tree near the Radley's house. They found two "Indian-Head" pennies, and decided to keep them. As their summer break begins Dill returns to Maycomb and continues their old games. Scout's turn on the tire and she rolls straight fo the Radely's steps. The three kids panicked, but this gives Jem an idea for their next game.
Chapter Four
As Jem and Dill grow closer Scout grow closer, Scout spends a lot of time with Miss Maudie. She tells Scout that Boo Radley is still alive and her theory was that Boo was a "footwashing" Baptist who beloeve most people are going to hell. She also says most rumors about him aren't true. While Scout is with Miss Maudie the two boys are planning to give a note to Mr.Radley invititing him out for ice cream, but Atticus orders them to leave him alone.
Chapter Five
On the last day of summer Jem and Dill planned to go around the Radley house and peek through the windows when Mr.Radley comes out be opens fire. The kids escape by going under the schoolyard fence, but Jem gets hi pants stuck and kicks them off in order to escape. When they return home, making up an excuse for the reason Jem was pantless. That night Jem goes back to get his pants
