- The battle of Alamo
- Captain Merriweather Lewis was born in 1774 in Virginia.Lewis and Clark began their journey by a boat on May 14, in 1804 in St. Louis.
- Oregon trail
- The Battle of Little Bighorn had native American soldiers led by a general custard. The Indian removal happened in 1830.In the trail of tears nearly 4,000 people died from cold, disease, and starvation.
- The gold rush
- The date of the battle was February 23 - March 6, 1836The main reason why the battle started because of the Texas revolution.
- People who were going west went there in the 1850's.People had to pile all their belongings in a wagon and had to travel 2,000 miles.
- James Marshall found gold in January of 1848.Also in 1848 of august the gold rush began.
