- Well existentialism, a field of philosophy made prominent by philsopher Frederik Nietzsche, recognizes the uniqueness of the human condition in a cold and indifferent world. It states that because the individual is completely isolated, he/she must create their own meaning, and authentically choose how to live their life. It emphasizes that existence precedes essence and that the freedom of a human to make his/her own choices goes hand in hand with the full burden of the consequences of those choices to be bore by the individual alone.
- Existentialism is the escape from nihilism my good bloke. By realizing that your life is completely reliant on how you decide to act on it you realize that YOU are the only person that can fix yourself. Death according to existentialism is inevitable, and you can either whine about it to a universe that will not listen, or you can put your station wagon into fifth gear and do something about it... indoubitably.
