- Background of how I started baking
- Part 1
- This is the first location where I will introduce myself and tell my audience more about me. My name is Makayla Vandewarker from Howell, Michigan and I want to be the next baker on Sugar Rush. I have been watching the shows since it first came out and have always wanted to be a part of the show. I have also been baking since I was three with many different treats like (number off with using fingers to show more excited)cupcakes, cakes, cookies, brownies, and so much more. Now I’m going to show YOU (point to the camera) why I deserve to be the next contestant.
- Part 2
- This is where I will talk about how I started baking with my grandma and aunt when I was growing up. I will add pictures to show me baking when I was little and add background music from iMovie (time lapse sound).
- Thanking
- After showing you a preview of the different types of sweet treats I have made over the years, I want to tell you why making these treats will help me be the best contestant on the show. Since I started baking when I was three, I have grown to love baking and to practice making baking and decorating skills as the years have gone on. Due to growing and developing my baking and decorating skills I have been able to make many sweet treats for birthday parties, anniversary parties, and so many other parties. Therefore, adding me to the casting list would help show my spirit on why I love baking and what I have learned to the show, and how the show will help me learn more techniques of baking and decorating.
- Final
- By talking about why my love for baking would add to the show, another thing that I can provide that would make the show even better is my teamwork and how I get along with other people while baking in a time crunch. After growing up always baking with my family I have been able to inherit the skill of teamwork and listening to others’ ideas through the baking and decorating process. With always baking with others, I have been able to communicate well with others, stayed focused on the goal to finish baking the sweet treats perfectly and always to help them decorate to match the occasions, have good leadership on help the treats should be decorated or what treats to make for certain parties, have each other’s backs with support and always willing to help, and so much more. The four qualities I just listed are the top 4 out of 7 qualities that make teamwork be successful, and that’s why my teamwork would outshine all the other contestants on the show.
- Now before I end telling you how my love and teamwork can help make the show more interesting, I just want to show you a couple more treats I have made and decorated!
- I will use this time to show more baking videos and the results of what I have made and present my contact information. This section will have background music to tie into the videos and pictures. Music from iMove (Time lapse).
