  • The Iron Age was a time of human history that began between 1200 and 600 B.C., depending on the location, and ended between 1200 and 600 B.C., following the Stone Age and Bronze Age. People in most of Europe, Asia, and parts of Africa started producing tools and firearms out of iron and steel during the Iron Age.
