- Abraham and the Hebrew people were shepherds that lived in Ur, Mesopotamia around 1700 BC. God and Abraham made a covenant that if Abraham moves the Hebrew people to Canaan that it will be the promised land for all of the Hebrew/Jewish descendants.
- Let my people go!
- Jacob, who was Abraham's grandson, moved to Egypt because of the famine that occurred in Canaan, plus the good supplies that Egypt had.
- Thank you for the Torah God!
- Moses was an Israelite who was adopted by the Pharaoh's family. Later on, Moses decided to leave Egypt. God wanted him to go back to Egypt and free his people from slavery, so Moses did.
- This is the city we will conquer!
- When the Pharaoh refused to let the Hebrew slaves go, God sent 10 hardships to Egypt, and the Pharaoh eventually gave in and let the Hebrews go. Today, Jews celebrate Passover to celebrate the release of the Hebrew slaves kept in Egypt.
- The 10 Commandments are 10 orders that came with the Torah that God gave to Moses. The 10 Commandments are important to Jews and Christians because it shows that if they obeyed God, he will protect and reward them.
- Joshua and the Hebrews entered Canaan, and one of the first cities they conquered was Jericho. The tribes of Jacob settles in the south.
