- This was the Louisiana Purchase. This is when the French decided to sell Louisiana to the United States for 15 million dollars. This also started some conflict between the U.S and Spain.

- Father Miguel Hidalgo was a priest that saved many Mexican and Native American citizens. He made sure to lead them out of Spain. This was going well until one of his soldiers betrayed him and reported him to Spanish soldiers. They then shot him, though many people were able to escape to the U.S.

- The Battle of Medina was a war between the Spanish and the Republican Army. The Republican Army were filibusters and beat Spain in a previous battle. But in the Battle of Medina, the Spanish killed all the people that were in the Republican Army and the people that were involved. They were all wiped from Spain
- Because Spain had full control over Mexico, Mexicans decided to make a constitution and turn Mexico into a republican country. After this, they were able to take back control over Mexico and change the rules. Instead of everything being a dictatorship, it was fairer and ad presidents like knthe U.S do now.
