نص القصة المصورة

  • Long ago, from around 1700 BC to 1900 BC, a city called Mohenjo-Daro existed off of the Indus river
  • The Indus river ran through the Himalayas, and was the beginning of the country India
  • I mean, no ones house is 5-star, but they built houses on top of other houses because the city was too crowded
  • It's theorized that this was the reason people left the city
  • Homes in Mohenjo-Daro weren't the best
  • Showers were in a public place and were done by pouring water out of a bucket on to someone's head.
  • And both Toilets and showers drained out of the building and into a drain in the street
  • The Indus also had showers and toilets.
  • Bath houses were basically public pools, if they were used for hygiene, religious cremonies, and held sacred
  • Seals were used for a couple of things. Although no one's been able to read the seals, most experts believe that they were mostly used for labeling.
  • A farmer might put a seal next to his crop to tell other people that it's his. Or a trader might have used it to label bags like Grain or Metal
  • But, at one point, the Mesopotamian trading system collapsed. This could have been another reason that Mohenjo-Daro was abandoned.
  • Trading in India involved seals to label, and they mostly traded with Mesopotamia.
  • Now to trading
