- The new generation of women had cut their hair and expressed themselves using makeup and fashion, openly denying old tradition. These women were called flappers.
- The young people from all over (including flappers) would flood into cities, becoming a big reasonurban areas had grown much larger than rural areas for the first time in history.

- Politics greatly empowered women, placing them in a seat of power no woman had ever been in before. Flappers were a huge breaking point in womens' history and created strong women everywhere.
