Soldiers enlisted in the army were most likely to be sent to a trench to stay for months or even years to do their job there. But their life wasn't easy, they had to endure rats everywhere, the constant threat of poison, trench foot, and low rations.

The soldier is writing to his wife back home since he wants to know what the news is in his nation.

Women's rights during and after WWI changed drastically, during WWI many job opportunities popped up because of all tasks needed. Because all the men were soldiers and at the frontlines fighting, women took up these jobs. This provided the opportunity for people to realize the capability of women, eventually leading to voting rights.

The enemies are attacking the people in the trenches, lots of new technologies were invented during WWI which caused a lot of casualties.

WWI opened up opportunities for the inventions of multiple new deadly weapons. Some of these include flamethrowers, machine guns, poison gas, and tanks. These new weapons would cause millions of deaths and poison gas was so deadly that it was banned after the war.

After WWI the powerful nations met up to discuss peace, after time they developed a peace treaty called the treaty of Versailles. It told that Germany was the sole cause in WWI, and they had to pay a lot of money, demilitarize, lose land. German economy collapsed and lots of people were in poverty, this eventually caused WW2
