- Okay Kids today we will be talking about what you should do and what you should not do when a fire happens or how to prevent a fire from happening.
- Well my parents always change the Fire alarms every year or so.
- Now is there anything any of you now not to do to prevent a fire?
- My mom always says to unplug items when I am not using them or even if we leave the house. Also when ever my sister does her nails she puts candles away cause mom says its dangers cause nail polish has some chemical
- That's really good that you guys know all about this but there are many other ways a fire can start. For instance when oily /dry rags begin to dry, heat is produced. If they're thrown into a pile, oxygen is trapped underneath. Meaning sooner or later it will start a fire
- Some safety rules you should know when a fire does occur is when you are caught on fire you should stop drop and roll. You should crawl out and find the nearest exit for instance a near by door or window and make sure if the door nob or the door surface in general is hot don't touch it cause that means there is a fire on the other end. When you do get out make sure to plan a safe place to go to.
- For instance when a fire happens at school we will meet up out side the school so make sure you and your family have somewhere safe o meet up after and even you can share what we have talked about today.
