The Mier y Teran Report was one of the events leading to the Texas Revolution. It was because the report prohibited slavery.

The first shots of the Texas Revolution were fired on October 2, 1835. Texans lose the Battle of The Alamo on March 6, 1836.
The Fredonian Rebellion was also a cause leading to the Texas Revolution. This rebellion was because Haden Edwards was supposed to respect the land grants of people living in the area. He didnt and forced people to either move or pay him for the land they were already living on.

And then the people living there got upset, so Mexico cancelled Hadens contract. He then declared his colony a free and independent country.
The law of April 6th, 1830 was designed to stop immigration from US into Texas. The law stopped slaves from being allowed into Texas and stopped Empresarios contracts from being used in Texas. This law made settlers very mad.

The convection of 1833 elected Austin to deliver their petitions to the Mexican Government. On his way back he got arrested for being under suspicion of treason. Austin was kept prisoner in Mexico City for the next year
