- Public Goods are goods that are nonexcludable. They are paid by tax payers yet everyone gets them. A pro could be that everyone is getting the good while a con could be that only certain people pay but it is provided to everyone.
- Free Rider Problem is connected with public goods and free riders are people that do not pay taxes but are still receiving the good because taxpayers are paying for it and it is unable to be taken away from specific people. An example could be that taxpayers paid for sidewalks yet they are open to all people.

- Interest Groups are groups that try to shape policies by trying to gain votes or pressure support on elected officials and provide them with informtion. Some pros are that they balance each other out and they provide more opportunities to be involved. While some cons are that they are too powerful and some people are wealthier than others and they have more money to basically bribe them with.

- Subsidies are money granted from the government to help out different business and industries and to protect them. An example would be farm subsidies which is the government giving them insurance that they will still make some amount of money if the weather makes them unable to farm also, they get money to keep prices low and competiton.
- Protective function is the government guaranteeing protection for consumers against fraud and defective products. This is important because if people were not being protected they would be less likely of trusting to buy things which would restult in the economy to be bad.
- Pork barrel legislation is competiton between politicans to bring back most funds for their states and voters. This is also done through government projects. some cons of it can be that the money is put in the hands of wrong people, corruption, and dishonesty. Some pros are that it help people accomplish things when they didn't have much money with financial assistance and it helps to fix things like road and bridges.
