- Macbeth and Banquo are approached by three evil faces as they return from harsh battles.

- Not as great as Macbeth but greater! Not as happy as Macbeth but happier! You will birth kings though you wont be one so All Hail Macbeth and Banquo!
- All Hail Thane of Cowdor! All hail Macbeth! you will be king hereafter.
- This caused Macbeth to have the thought of being 'king' in his head which caused nasty thoughts as to how to gain that title.
- Don't you want to be king? The prophecy has come true once, it will become true once again.
- Kill Duncun dear husband. If you are a man that is.
- How could I..it would be more wise to enjoy my new title as cowdor and keep things peaceful.
