- Coralines mother is a workaholic and gets very mad and annoyed when people interrupted her. The relationship between coraline and her mother was horrible

- One day when coraline was exploring her new house since she just moved in and she found a small door

- After only finding bricks when the door was opened disappointed Coraline went to sleep when a little mouse showed her the way and led her into a mysterious tunnel
- Ater realizing she was in an alternate universe she decided not to leave since this life was like heaven for her until her other mother told her the only way to stay forever is to also sow buttons in her eyes

- After the other mother gave her some time to think about it the souls of the children she had captured before came to her rescue to help her and tell her the the truth about the life with the other mother
